Did you know just because we refer you to a surgeon does not mean you have to have surgery? Many insurances require surgical evaluations to justify some non-surgical procedures. The surgical referral is just an evaluation to see if you are a candidate for surgery. Then you will decide if you want surgery of not. If you don’t want surgery, we have many options to help with your pain. If you do want surgery, we are happy to refer to a surgeon.
Many insurances will require you to try other more conservative options before approving surgery. Even if you want surgery, you will most likely be required to try other options before your insurance will approve the surgery. You can always check the requirements in your insurance policy.
